By Dora Fisher, Marketing and Communications Administrator, BVSC

I discovered my new role as BVSC’s Communications and Marketing Administrator through their BVSC Charity Jobs West Midlands website. It's a great resource that hosts a range of jobs across the region on behalf of non-profits which include charities, social enterprises, faith organisations and community organisations. The website forms an important part of BVSC’s mission to support a strong and influential Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector.

Look no further if you're looking for a job in the sector! Click here to discover lots of exciting vacancies, and please share onwards with your contacts and networks to help any job seekers make the most of this resource.

My career had been mostly in art and culture but I widened my search to explore different sectors, and I am so happy I did! I am really looking forward to supporting BVSC’s vision of a Birmingham in which all people enjoy lives of inclusion, safety, wellbeing and fulfilment.

Through our Directories you can search directories such as Connect 2 Support and Route 2 Wellbeing for VCFSE organisations and services which provide Employment, Education and Training support.

If you need help building skills to help you into employment, why not consider volunteering for a local VCFSE organisation. Through volunteering you can:

•    find out what's involved in a job to see if it's for you
•    try out different career ideas
•    learn new skills or build on ones you already have
•    meet new people and develop your network of contacts
•    boost your confidence
•    give back to your community

Volunteer vacancies are advertised through Volunteer Brum.

BVSC also has a partnership with Prospectus who can provide VCFSE organisations with advice, guidance and expertise on recruiting and retaining diverse and talented team members.
