It is ten years ago that the late Jo Cox MP was murdered. We remember the poignant words in her maiden speech – “We have More in Common than that which divides us”.

Every year since, we have celebrated the Great Get Together

6 years ago, we created the Birmingham Scout and Guide More in Common badge, which is awarded for carrying out activities to celebrate our difference, and show welcome and friendship to youngsters different from themselves. In 6 years we have awarded 2,300 badges

Come and join us on the corner of Kings Heath High Street and Vicarage Road, in front of All Saints Church. Say hello, have a free cuppa, and take part in any of the activities that you fancy.

West Midlands Multibank Reaches One Million Milestone to Help Families in Need

One million essential items have been distributed to families in need across the region through the West Midlands Multibank since the project was launched just over a year ago. The milestone was celebrated by BVSC, who oversee the West Midlands Multibank alongside funders Comic Relief and Sport Relief. The West Midlands Multibank receives donations from businesses such as Amazon to distribute to a network of over 200 community partners who then distribute them to families most in need.
