ReCognition Circular has announced the opening of the Birmingham Device Bank, providing refurbished laptops to organisations across Birmingham. Devices are donated by local businesses, professionally wiped, refurbished and tested before being supplied to charities, community groups, schools or support organisations in Birmingham who need access to a computer.

Our mission is to end device poverty in Birmingham.

We connect businesses to the community organisations supporting people facing device poverty.

For businesses we provide free collection, secure, certified data destruction, environmental impact reports and social value statements. We provide visibility into where the devices go and the impact they make on the lives of the people who receive them.

For community organisations we upgrade, repair, refurbish and test the laptops to ensure the are fit for purpose. We are there to support, should something go wrong with a device.
