The NeighbourGOOD Scheme - Severn Trent is now open

At Severn Trent, our customers and community are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we're thrilled to introduce the NeighbourGOOD Scheme! This initiative is designed to support the causes that matter most in our local communities.

We’re excited to announce that the NeighbourGOOD Scheme will donate up to £2500 to local initiatives and community projects making a positive impact across our region. But that's not all—our dedicated Severn Trent team will also volunteer to help bring these projects to life.

Since this is all about your neighbourhoods, we’re putting the power in your hands: our customers will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite projects.

About this Scheme

The NeighbourGOOD scheme is a unique initiative by Severn Trent aimed at empowering our local communities. Our mission is to support projects that make a real difference in the lives of our customers and the neighbourhoods we serve.

Applications will close on the 11^th of October. (subject to change)

How It Works

Through the NeighbourGOOD Scheme, local groups, charities, and community project owners can apply for our support to make a difference in their communities. We will select a different community project to support in every corner of our region, providing funding and hands-on volunteering from our Severn Trent employees.

Apply - Any organisation with a social or public purpose from local groups, charities, and community project owners can apply for our support.
Selection - To decide which projects we will deliver we are going to be setting up a panel of county representatives to shortlist the projects to three per county.
Customer voting - The three shortlisted projects will then be put forward for public vote with a winning project from each county being chosen by you!

Successful projects will receive: 20-30 Severn Trent volunteers across 2 days and up to £2500 funding to support in the delivery of your project.

Become a Trusted Partner volunteer for the Crisis and Resilience Fund!

After receiving cabinet approval in April 2026, the Crisis and Resilience Fund (formerly the Hardship Grant Community Fund) is being made available to ease the financial burdens faced by vulnerable citizens in Birmingham. BVSC will distribute grants of up to £220 to help households with food costs and energy payments. BVSC are looking for Trusted Partner organisations to become part of a network helping complete online enquiries and applications on behalf of citizens.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales officially opens James' Place Birmingham

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales officially opened James’ Place Birmingham at the start of Mental Health Awareness Week in May. James’ Place are a charity offering free, life-saving treatment to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham. His Royal Highness was able to meet our new team, men that have been helped at our other centres, as well as local supporters and donors that have helped bring James’ Place to Birmingham.

Severn Trent Community Fund

Severn Trent Community Fund: Core Funding will be open for applications from Monday 1st June to Tuesday 30th June 2026 (11:59pm). Eligible not-for-profit organisations can apply for a restricted grant of £5,000–£20,000 to support their core costs for one year. We expect to fund around 25 organisations from across the Severn Trent region in this round.
