Volunteers’ Week: Celebrating the People Who Make Birmingham Stronger As we get ready to celebrate Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge thank you to every volunteer making a difference across Birmingham. Every day, volunteers give their time, energy, skills and compassion to support communities, strengthen organisations and help people feel less alone. Whether it’s supporting local groups, helping at events, mentoring, fundraising, befriending or simply being there when needed, volunteers play a vital role in the life of our city. This Volunteers’ Week, we’re also proud to celebrate a major milestone for Volunteer Brum, with more than 4,000 people now signed up and ready to play their part in Birmingham communities. That number represents thousands of people who care about their city and want to make a difference. It also reflects the incredible work of the organisations and community groups creating meaningful opportunities for people to get involved. To everyone already volunteering across Birmingham we would like to say a massive thanks. Your contribution matters, and the impact you make is felt every single day. If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, now is a great time to get started. Whether you can spare a few hours occasionally or want to volunteer more regularly, there are opportunities to suit different interests, skills and availability. Volunteer Brum makes it easy to discover local volunteering opportunities and connect with organisations across the city that need support. Together, we can continue building a stronger, kinder and more connected Birmingham. Happy Volunteers’ Week! Manage Cookie Preferences
