Free Adult Workshops from British Red Cross The British Red Cross designed these free, educational workshops to help you learn vital life skills and build resilience. We cover a range of wellbeing and humanitarian topics and our training workshops can range from creative problem-solving to practical first aid training. Please note: These educational workshops are not accredited courses. For accredited first aid courses, suitable for health and safety training for work or to support you in everyday life, visit Red Cross first aid training. In Community Education, we offer free adult workshops covering First Aid and Climate - Flood (Aware, Prepare, Care) to groups in the area. Our first aid training is very informal and can be tailored to the group making it ideal for anyone attending who may want to learn some skills to help in an emergency. We can include a demonstration on how to use a defib and people are welcome to have a go if they wish. The aim is to build resilience in the community and give people confidence to be able to help in emergency situations. The new workshop around flooding looks at types of flooding, local risk and who/how it may affect people and its impact on communities. This is being piloted and would be ideal for local resilience hubs. The Supporting Connections workshops is great for those who work/volunteer in the community and looks at how to support those at risk of isolation and loneliness, the causes, definitions and barriers for people.More information Scan the QR below to get in touch: Manage Cookie Preferences
