Easter holiday opportunities for young people (aged 14-21) to get involved in micro-volunteering health projects. Part of the Volunteering for Health programme, these opportunities offer a chance to get involved in real health-focused projects, each supported by different clinical areas. Whether you can spare a few hours or a bit more time over several days, there are a range of activities to suit different interests - giving a practical insight into the world of healthcare while making a positive contribution. If you’re aged 12–18 and attend a secondary school, you can get involved by helping to raise awareness and encourage more students to take up important vaccinations. You’ll be supported by local NHS immunisation and vaccination professionals, gaining valuable experience while making a real difference to the health of your school community. To get started, you can join the Volunteering for Health (V4H) Club Day on 8 April, where young people will work alongside experienced teams to develop ideas and campaigns for their schools. You don’t need to already be part of a club as this opportunity is open to anyone interested in getting involved. For those aged 14–21, there’s also the chance to set up or run a V4H Club in your school, with support to create a tailored campaign and be part of a wider city effort to improve public health. Taking part is a great way to build skills, meet new people, and contribute to a healthier Birmingham.
