What are we offering?

FREE home energy advice: this advice can range from a short conversation to a home visit from one of our trained energy advisors who can advise you on how to make changes to how you use energy day to day, and to your home.
FREE Benefits Advice and Support: this includes benefit entitlement checks to see what you may be eligible for, as well as support with completing applications, understanding your options, and challenging decisions if needed.
FREE Information, Advice and Guidance: signposting you to other organisations which can also provide wider support

For Individuals

Speak to your GP or a local health and social care professional or organisation to ask for them to refer you into our service. You cannot refer yourself into BrumEnergy.

For Carers

If you receive Carer’s Allowance, you can access support on behalf of the person you care for.

For Health and Social Care Professionals / Organisations

If you work or support someone with a health condition or disability that is made worse or difficult by living in a cold damp or mouldy home, you can refer them into BrumEnergy for free support.
Examples of referrers include:

Social prescribers
Talking therapies and mental health teams
Cancer, respiratory, and cardiovascular services
Community and voluntary health groups
GPs, pharmacists, and hospital discharge teams
Adult social care teams

West Midlands Multibank Reaches One Million Milestone to Help Families in Need

One million essential items have been distributed to families in need across the region through the West Midlands Multibank since the project was launched just over a year ago. The milestone was celebrated by BVSC, who oversee the West Midlands Multibank alongside funders Comic Relief and Sport Relief. The West Midlands Multibank receives donations from businesses such as Amazon to distribute to a network of over 200 community partners who then distribute them to families most in need.
CYP Preventative and Early Mental & Emotional Help - External Stakeholders Engagement

Early Help Mental Health Services provide voluntary, preventative support for children, young people, and families facing challenges to prevent future escalations into secondary care mental health services. The way our young people want to access support, and their needs have changed a lot over the last 10 years. We are reviewing our services to ensure we deliver them effectively and to check if our current delivery model meeting patient needs.

Birmingham Windrush Service of Commemoration, Thanksgiving and Celebration

The service will include contributions from clergy, community leaders, and the Birmingham Windrush Celebration Legacy Choir.

Crisis and Resilience Fund
