What is BrumEnergy?
BrumEnergy is a partnership of trusted local organisations offering free, independent energy and benefits advice to Birmingham residents living with health conditions or disabilities. Our goal is to help you stay safe, warm, and well at home.

Who is BrumEnergy for?
BrumEnergy supports residents with a disability or long-term health condition affected by cold, damp, or energy-inefficient homes.

What kind of support does BrumEnergy offer?
We provide a range of free advice and support services, including:

  • Home energy advice - from phone calls to home visits.
  • Benefits advice and claims support - including entitlement checks and support with applications.
  • Carbon monoxide alarms and gas safety advice.
  • Signposting to other services for additional help.

Can I refer myself to BrumEnergy?
No. Referrals must be made by a health or social care professional, such as a GP, social prescriber, or support worker. You can ask a professional you work with to make a referral.

I’m a carer. Can I get support for the person I care for?
Yes. If you receive Carer’s Allowance, you can access BrumEnergy services on behalf of the person you care for.
