Fuel Poverty is a pressing issue impacting millions across the UK and this challenge is especially prevalent in areas like Erdington and that is why this Fuel Poverty Awareness Day, Witton Lodge Community Association are committed to raising awareness and continuing to support residents within our community. There are three key factors which determine whether a household faces fuel poverty: income, energy needs, and fuel prices and we’re here to help you balance these where possible. Through our continued work with partners, Birmingham Community Action Network and BrumEnergy, we are able to offer essential energy services to residents throughout the Erdington Constituency. Fuel poverty is a challenge that can affect anyone, not just those within low-incomes households – the pressure is increasing for middle-income homes too. With energy costs spiralling, it’s not just about keeping warm anymore; it’s about maintaining wellbeing in the face of financial strain.For residents caught in this predicament, the stress can be overwhelming. At Witton Lodge Community Association, we are dedicated to helping our community keep their homes warm without breaking the bank. Our expert energy advisors are supporting residents through advice services, offering a range of resources including Winter Warm Packs and home visits. Since 2023, we’re proud to have assisted over 2,000 members of our community with benefit and energy-related advice and support. Our Information Advice & Guidance team have the skills and qualifications to support you with benefit and energy related queries and are on hand to help you at our four community hubs across Erdington.
