WalkSafe (and its enhanced version WalkSafe+) is recognised as one of the UK’s leading personal safety apps. It provides users with real‑time tools to help them plan safer journeys and stay connected with trusted contacts.

WalkSafe is designed to give users as much information about their surroundings as possible to support personal safety when moving through public spaces.

Key features of WalkSafe+ include: 

• National Safe Space Map, showing trained venues and support locations in partnership with local authorities and businesses—these include places offering support services such as free period products and phone charging points.
  
  
• Journey‑sharing tools, allowing trusted friends or family to follow a user’s live journey, receive automatic notifications of their last known location, or receive alerts if the user doesn’t reach their destination on time.
  
  
• SOS emergency function, instantly alerting trusted contacts with the user’s live location if they feel unsafe.
  
  
• Community reporting, enabling users to flag issues such as poor lighting or obstructed areas to help inform others.
  
  
• Support for night‑time safety, including visibility of street marshals, pastors, and other local welfare services.
